Cookie Policy

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They're a normal part of how the modern web works — they let sites remember things like your preferences and keep you signed in between visits.

We use a deliberately small set of cookies, in three categories:

• Strictly necessary — required for the site to work. Examples: an admin session cookie, a cookie that prevents cross-site request forgery on forms.
• Functional — remember small preferences, like the currency you picked on your last visit to the donate page.
• Analytics (anonymous) — help us understand which campaigns resonate, where visitors drop off, and where to improve. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

When you complete a donation, our payment partner (Stripe, Chapa, or Telebirr) may set their own cookies as part of fraud prevention. These are governed by the partner's own cookie policy.

You can clear cookies or block them through your browser settings. Blocking strictly-necessary cookies may break the donation flow or admin login. Blocking functional and analytics cookies will not prevent you from using the site.

We do not currently display a cookie banner because we don't use advertising cookies. If we change this in the future, we'll add a clear consent control before any non-essential cookie is set.

If we change the cookies we use in any meaningful way, we'll update this page and bump the “Effective” date.
